Wells Fargo Offers Spanish Speaking Customers New Text Banking Service in Spanish

Now, busy customers can use Spanish commands to check balances and make transfers between accounts from their mobile phones.

The service of Banking by Text (Text Banking) is now available Wells Fargo in Spanish, giving Spanish-speaking customers a safe and easy way to manage their personal and small business finances.

“Our convenient Text Banking service (Text Banking) now offers customers the option of making certain account transactions in Spanish through their mobile phones. Through simple and secure text queries, Text Banking (Text Banking) is the fastest and easiest way for customers to get a global view of their accounts,” explained Brett Pitts, Director of Product Management for Digital Channels Group at Wells Fargo. “We are proud to allow even more customers to access their account information in ways that best suit their changing needs and preferences. Text banking (Text Banking) is convenient, and customers say it fits their busy lifestyles well.”

INSCRIPTION AND USE

First, customers must activate the service at wf.com/text from a mobile phone with Internet access and provide your mobile phone number. You will quickly receive a “welcome” text message from Wells Fargo with instructions on how to use the service.

Once registered, banking services are easy to access. They should send a text message to 93557 (the shortcode equivalent to “WELLS” on traditional keypads). Customers can send a text message with the word “CMD” to get a complete list of Wells Fargo’s Text Banking commands (Text Banking).

  • “ALL SAL” (“get all balances”): automatically displays current available balances in a text message.
  • “VEN” determines credit card payment information for Wells Fargo.
  • ACC” shows if a check is deposited.
  • “CAJ” Along with the city and state of the customer, or their zip code (e.g. “CAJ 94118” or “CAJ San Diego CA”), provides a list of nearby Wells Fargo ATMs.

After sending the first text message, the customer can save the text number 93557 in the mobile phone address book to further speed up the process next time.
